The Children's Ministry
Sunday services include our Children's Ministry, which begins shortly after the Sunday service at 10 AM
The children begin the service with us and the congregants bless them before going downstairs for Spiritual Education.
This also allows our teens, tweens and tots to be a part of our opening statements and affirmations.
We invite you to join Unity Services with your children, as they have the joy of sharing time with Bev Jacson, our childrens minister along with our other children's ministry team members:
Linda McGlothlin - Chris Christopherson
Tristan - Amanda and Tony Diehl
We teach that
NOTHING IS TOO WONDERFUL TO HAPPEN; NOTHING IS TOO GOOD
TO BE TRUE.
EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE TO GOD
THROUGH ME AND YOU!
Lesson Focus for our Children's Ministry
God's Gifts! That is what the children sometimes called the 12 Powers.
With the young ones we don't discuss metaphysical as much as the children's personal experience of themselves and the world. This will include: Imagination & Creativity, Love, (focused on Mother's and Father's Day), Strength ( Inner and Outer) and Curiosity
(exploring God's changing world of Spring and Summer).
We will continue to think about how Jesus demonstrated these gifts to his disciples and others.
The Unitweens and teens, will be continuing to strengthen their understanding that they can use prayer any time in any situation. They will be continuing to learn the 5 Unity Principles, the Prayer of protection, use of spontaneous prayer, and the Serenity Prayer.
We will also begin learning about the 12 Powers that God has given us: Faith, Strength, Love, Judgment, Power, Imagination, Understanding, Will, Order, Release, Zeal, and Life.
We have a well developed curriculum on these gifts, and how each of the 12 disciples demonstrated them in his life. These are basics for Unity belief, and will be a foundation for many future discussions and lessons. Woven into these lessons will be fun projects and
Spring/summer activities which you will be hearing about!
As our classes grow we will again be having more adults working with our tweens and teens.
If you feel that you would enjoy working with this age group of young
Unity people, please let me know.
I will provide training and lesson plans, as well as scheduling, so that the adult volunteers may rotate this responsibility. Questions?
Thanks for bringing your children here each Sunday to enjoy this series of lessons.
~ Bev Jacson

CHILDREN'S VERSON of Unity's Basic Principles
1. God is all good and active in everything, everywhere.
2. I am naturally good because God's Divinity is in me and in everyone.
3. I create my experiences by what I choose to think and what I feel and believe.
4. Through affirmative prayer and meditation, I connect with God and bring out the good in my life.
5. I do and give my best by living the Truth I know. I make a difference!
